Wir schreiben das Jahr 2015. Ein Typ übt seinen Poetry-Slam Auftritt in Dresden auf der Toilette vor dem Spiegel. Ein anderer Typ kommt rein, nichts ahnend bemerkt er – oh ein Künstler! Und sowas! Daraus ist eine Freundschaft entstanden. Und VETA. Manchmal triffst du auf Leute und Situationen im Leben, die in dir Neugier wecken. Eben das Interesse an der Schaffenskraft. Da ist ein Drang noch Neues, nicht Gesehenes, Gehörtes, Gefühltes in diese Welt zu kreieren. Die Sehnsucht zu spüren, Menschen dort anzurühren, wo man selbst angerührt wurde. Die Sehnsucht, die Welt zu verändern.
Als wir, Jonathan und Michael Interesse auf ein Neoklassik Magazin hatten, stellten wir schnell fest, dass genau eben dieser Drang als Kunstschaffender die Welt zu verschönern, uns tief angerührt hatte. Wir entschieden uns weiter und neugieriger zu denken und damit VETA in’s Leben zu rufen. Wir haben Interesse daran, gemeinsam mit Dir die Welt durch die Kunst zu de- und rekonstruieren, die Verletzbarkeit einzuatmen und Hoffnungsperspektiven zu schaffen. Das Bedürfnis, frei in der Kunst zu sein und die Kunst sprechen zu lassen, treibt uns an VETA als Plattform für ebendies zu schaffen.
The year is 2015 and a guy is practicing his Poetry-Slam performance in Dresden in the toilet in front of the mirror. Another guy comes in, unsuspectingly he notices – oh an artist! And what a thing! From this a friendship has developed. And VETA. Sometimes you meet people and situations in life that arouse your curiosity. Just the interest in creative power. There is an urge to create something new, not yet seen, heard, felt in this world. To feel the longing to touch people where you yourself have been touched. The longing to change the world.
When we Jonathan and Michael were interested in a neoclassical magazine, we quickly realized that exactly this urge to beautify the world as an artist touched us deeply. We decided to think further and more curiously and with that to bring VETA into life. We are interested in deconstructing and reconstructing the world together with you through art, in breathing in vulnerability and creating perspectives of hope. The need to be free in art and to let art speak is what drives us to create VETA as a platform for this.

VETA sind Menschen, die Türen öffnen und Verständnis bringen, wo vorher keines gewesen ist. VETA are people who open doors and bring understanding where none has gone before.
VETA sind Menschen, die durch ihre Empathie achtsam zuhören. VETA are people who listen attentively through their empathy.
VETA sind Menschen, die smarte Fragen durch Kunst stellen. VETA are people who ask smart questions through art.
VETA sind Menschen, die sich vorurteilslos mit dem Anderen und Fremden auseinandersetzen. VETA are people who deal with others and strangers without prejudice.
VETA sind Menschen, die schon jetzt spüren, was die Gesellschaft von morgen braucht. VETA are people who feel already today what the society of tomorrow needs.
